Walker Street Doctors are committed to exceeding your expectations of health care and to delivering that care on time. We aim to make your visit comfortable and stress free as possible from the moment you enter our practice and are welcomed by our receptionist team.
We respect your time and we understand that our patients have higher priorities than waiting for doctors who routinely run late. Our average waiting time is approximately 5 minutes. We want to do better than this and we can with your help.
New Patients: We ask that new patients fill out the new patient form on this site and bring it with them, arriving 5 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time in order to allow our team to set up a patient file for you. You might even email us a completed new patient registration form ahead of time at reception@walkerstreetdoctors.com.au. Alternatively, please arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time to hand write the registration form, allowing time for set up. Each consultation is allocated 20 minutes because providing excellent health care takes time.
Existing Patients: We understand that life is occasionally unpredictable. If you are running a few minutes late, please understand that your appointment duration will be shortened in order to finish at the scheduled time.
If you are running more than 10 minutes late, we will kindly ask you to reschedule your appointment as a courtesy to the patients who are scheduled to follow and in order to give you the attention and the time that you deserve.
If you have a number of issues to discuss with your doctor, please understand that we may not be able to attend to all items in 20 minutes. Let us know what the most important things are for you and we will develop a shared decision-making plan for those things as a priority, potentially leaving less important matters for a follow up appointment.
Our practice takes appointments from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday. Outside these hours, we have a deputizing service where doctors are able to carry out a home visit. They are contactable on 137425. Please send all correspondence and feedback to reception@walkerstreetdoctors.com.au.
We are located in the hub of North Sydney close to North Sydney Railway Station and major bus routes. Street parking is available in surrounding streets including one hour metered parking in Alfred Street North, Little Walker Street or Upper Mount Street. Parking is also available at Greenwood Plaza (entry off the Pacific Highway)
